Trap Never Closed LLC is a Black-owned streetwear brand founded by Evan Thomas and Robyn McGinnis. Born in Alexandria, Louisiana and now based in Lafayette, our journey started in 2020 under the name Hot Shack Apparel. Over time, we realized our brand needed to represent more than clothing — it needed to reflect who we are, where we came from, and the mindset that shaped us.

Growing up in Alexandria as young Black creators, we saw firsthand how challenging it can be to be recognized, supported, or encouraged. But we also saw something powerful: people who grind, hustle, and push through every obstacle to create a better life. That spirit is what inspired us to evolve into Trap Never Closed.

Trap Never Closed represents motion, ambition, and resilience.

It’s for the hustlers, the workers, the grinders — anyone who refuses to quit no matter what stands in their way. Our brand is more than merch; it’s a message. A message that where you start doesn’t define where you’re headed, and that real drive never closes.

Alexandria is full of talented, creative people who deserve to be seen. Through TNC, we aim to shine light on our city, uplift our community, and show the world the positive side of where we come from. We want to give the people who support us something meaningful to wear — something that represents their determination just as much as ours.
